@libertybele

Lady Lindsey??????

What the HELL are these people smoking?

Not only "No",but "HELL NO!"

@sneakypete I was surprised to see him on the list too, but he's military and I'm sure he's fuming over the Kabul debacle.  I'd rather see him in the line up then Pence.

Disagree respectfully.  At least in terms of integrity for DC critters (pretty low bar of course), I actually think Cruz is in the postive side of that bell shaped curve.  And he does show intelllecutal honesty, in explaining a posiition that may even be  unpalatable to 90% of the electorate.

But you are right.  There is that one certain thing that is hindering his progress for political ambitions.  I met Cruz in his first senate primary, and I can honestly say he is a friendly, nice, guy, who genuinely loves this country.   Where I think the disconnect is, that Cruz is so freaking brilliant in his knowledge of the constitution, a matters of government, that he often comes off condescending in his interactions with folks.  And whether he realizes it or not, that is a big turnoff with many people.

I think 99% of the integrity concerns are the Lyin Ted memes from the '16 primaries.

@catfish1957

I am in 100 percent agreement with the part in bold. I think Cruz is most likely the smartest man in the US Senate.

I honestly don't think he wants to be President,though. In MY NSHO,there is something "off" about him that I just can't seem to put my finger on that MAY be related to him never running for President in the past.

I can't even begin to guess what that "something" is,but it causes me to not trust him.

@sneakypete he for a very long  time had a 'guarded' personality, from his staunch conservative upbringing.  I followed his conservative career while he fought to make into the Senate. He IS who he says he is.  I began to understand and like his personality when I read his bio "A Time for Truth"...I read the book in one night.  He is well educated, conservative, a constitutionalist, but he also has a hidden sense of humor.  I think he watched Trump just be himself and has learned to relax a bit, but he still guards himself in the public eye.

I have watched his podcast,(#1) and he is relaxed and his personality is evident and I think he would make one heck of a president .... if he could just let his guard down a bit to get elected.  However, years ago, the office of the Presidency was revered ...  that's still in his DNA and how he comes across. Rightfully so. I believe he possesses strong leadership quality, but I don't see him running -- too much bat crap craziness on the left that I don't think he'll subject himself nor his family to.

He FAILED to do is job on Jan. 6.; same say it was due to interruption, I say it was planned and he followed that plan.  He knew full well ahead of time that there was going to be some sort of insurrection and it would be made to look like they were Trump supporters, which the evidence shows isn't the case.

This is absolute bullshit @libertybele.  Do I really have to go back and cite, again, multiple independent accounts that all written objections were fully considered as required by law, and do I really have to explain, again, that there is no authority in any law for state legislators to recall certified EVs, nor authority for the President of the Senate even to entertain such requests?

I think Pence needs to acknowledge political reality and get off the stage - his career is over.  But I'm not going to sit quietly while disproven nonsense continues to be re-cycled.

I certainly don't want to dig through my posts and links again either re: Cruz's objection was not heard/recognized and  and repost. Yes, agreed Pence had  no authority to overturn the election period.

His career is over but I am not quite sure he acknowledges that or accepts that.

I have suspected Mike's judgement based on who he decided to run with (for V.P) and campaign for... when it was all over even that came back to bite him in the butt.... as Trump threw him under the bus.

In the middle of a war against our democracy and every Trump voter, Mike Pence chose his side  ---

May Pence move quickly into oblivion.
