Yup. And China's coal fired power plants (and to a lesser extent those in Russia, India and Poland) are dumping soot on the ice-pack. This is a cause of human-induced climate change that is overlooked by the climate change alarmists, who want to explain everything in terms of greenhouse gas emissions -- the models either ignore arctic albedo, or consider changes in it secondary effects due to greenhouse gas emissions changing the dominant size of ice crystals in the surface layer. Ignoring soot in the models, thus results in an over-statement of the effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
The problem with noticing this is that a cause of climate change that can be fixed by the Chinese Peoples Congress, the Russian State Duma and the Indian Parliament passing analogues of the American Clean Air act (and the executive in those countries actually enforcing the new laws) is that this doesn't give an excuse for the US Federal Government and the EU to seize control of the energy economy.
