“What’s an Abortion, Anyway?” begins a new children’s book by abortion activists Carly Manes and an illustrator who goes by the name Emulsify.
But it never actually answers the question. Instead, the book, intended for young children, indoctrinates young minds with radical pro-abortion rhetoric that attempts to normalize the killing of unborn babies for any reason without limits.
“Some people have abortions because they can’t take care of a new baby right now,” the book states, above an illustration of a mother holding a young child. Others because their “doctors say pregnancy could make them sick,” it continues next to the image of a smiling doctor.
“No matter the reason, everyone should be able to make this decision for themselves,” it states.
The book has not been released yet, but the authors’ intentions and the preview pages make it clear that its purpose is not to explain to children what an abortion is. Quite the opposite.
excerpt
Manes describes herself as a “white, queer, Jewish” abortion doula from New York. She proudly states that she has helped with more than 2,000 abortions in the past six years. Emulsify, or “M,” identifies as a “brown genderqueer cultural worker and full-spectrum doula.”
They created the book through a fund on Kickstarter that raised $23,492 from 546 donors, according to Caldron Pool. They plan to donate 300 copies of the book to children’s libraries across the U.S. “next to all the books about pregnancy.”
