Why do politicians give the potty mouthed little girl the time of day when it comes to "global warming?" 
We don't think like they do. We don't pursue an acute ambition for power. Granted, politics on both sides of the aisle is about gaining power but they don't care a rat's arse about a US citizen's welfare or their freedom of self-determination.
Think about it. What power can be gained by convincing the uninformed that man-made climate change is destroying the planet? It encompasses the power to tell you what to eat, what to drive, who gets taxed, how much and what for, your energy usage citing your "carbon footprint", what type of energy you can use and the list goes on. In essence it's total control of who can do what, who can't and what businesses can be successful and those that shouldn't..... "Picking winners and losers".
Total power under the guise of "fighting climate change".
For the ambitious it's a perfect storm.
I was exposed to GASP (Group Against Smog and Pollution) in '72. It began in '69 and seemed like an upstanding cause at the time. But upon that the creation of "Save the planet" came into existence when it was recognized as a platform to gain immeasurable power.
