CDC: U.S. Birth Rate Sees Largest Drop in 50 Years

Penny Starr 5 May 2021

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that the birth rate in the U.S. fell by four percent in 2020 — the largest yearly drop in five decades.

The rate dropped across every major racial group and in nearly all age groups, falling to the lowest point since the government started tracking the data more than a century ago.

The Guardian analyzed the data in the report:

Quote
The U.S. once was among only a few developed countries with a fertility rate above the 2.1 children per woman that ensured each generation had enough children to replace itself.

But the rate has been sliding for more than 10 years and last year dropped to about 1.6, the lowest rate on record. The figures suggest that the current generation will not have enough children to replace itself.

The CDC report is based on a review of more than 99 percent of birth certificates issued last year. The findings echo a recent Associated Press analysis of 2020 data from 25 states showing that births had fallen during the coronavirus outbreak.

We never got that baby boom expected from the initial lockdown.

Maybe people were worried about getting paid and being able to afford another mouth to feed.

Or maybe being stuck together 24/7 just didn't promote "being together"?

I don't trust any information or statistics coming from the CDC.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

OH, FOR *#$@'S SAKE!

It's absolutely true, and being on the ground, I can confirm it. Millennials refuse to reproduce. They'd rather be in LGBT relationships, or pursue money and "fulfillment" through travel. Those of us who do want to start families can't find partners.

We are below replacement and have been for a long time. It is a problem, and will lead to our ruin.

On the flip side then, so much about the "rumor" of U.S. over population!

Can't have it both ways.

Please, so all millenials want to be in LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ relationships?  Right.

I think other reasons are in play, like being able to feed other mouths when you've been shoved out of a job due to the pandemic.

As for trying to find a partner .... perhaps you're living in the wrong area or looking in all the wrong places.  Just sayin'.

Not to be worrying about "the USA population".

Doesn't matter if the Euro-whites stop reproducing altogether.

With the current border invasion, in 10-15 years, there will have been 20 million more illegals coming in.

And when they get amnesty'ed, and can bring in relatives, that's 40 million more on top of that...

Yeppers, that's the plan. The transformation of White America to a Latino America will be complete.  After all, many believe that this IS their land anyways.
