OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. -- A man was shot and killed after breaking into an Okaloosa County home early Wednesday morning, according to the sheriff's office.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says the incident took place around 5 a.m. at a home on Shirley Drive.
A woman called and told the sheriff's office that a man broke into her home before being shot. Deputies found the man dead inside the townhouse upon arrival.
Deputies located a second individual who fled from the scene at a nearby residence. He was taken into custody for questioning.
