Of course if the estimate is based on the antibody studies in the West and includes asymptomatic infections and infections with only minor symptoms that wouldn't have had a Western doctor recommending a COVID test, it would correspond to between 1,250,000 and 5,000,000 infections that would have been reported as "confirmed cases" the way we've been doing things in the US and pretty much every country other with a non-authoritarian government. At the low end it would put them between India and Brazil, and at the high end, most cases of any country in the world.
Or you can do the correction the other way: using the antibody studies that suggest between 5 and 20 times as many people have been infected as show up in the "confirmed case" count, the world estimate for total infected now stands between 75 million and 300 million.
