Florida Congress members urge Governor to issue statewide mask mandate

 Multiple members of Florida's Congressional delegation asked Governor Ron DeSantis to consider issuing a statewide mask mandate.

Florida's coronavirus case numbers have been rapidly surging in recent days, and the number of cases as well as the rate of positive tests reached record highs in the last week.

“As positive cases surge and hospitalizations increase, it is imperative that you take data-driven action to help protect Floridians, our families, and our communities from the dangers of COVID-19,” members wrote in a letter that was sent to DeSantis on Tuesday. ............
