Jimmy Kimmel used 'N-word' in imitation Snoop song in 1996, impersonated comic George Wallace in 2013: audio

By Gregg Re | Fox News

EXCLUSIVE: Jimmy Kimmel, who urged actor Tom Arnold to release an alleged "N-word" tape of President Trump in 2018, admitted years ago that he imitated rapper Snoop Dogg's voice for a track in a 1996 Christmas album -- an original song in which Kimmel used the "N-word" several times.

The admission came in a January 2013 podcast obtained this weekend by Fox News. In the podcast, Kimmel also changed his speech pattern in an attempt to adopt the voice of black comedian George Wallace, in what host Adam Carolla called Kimmel's "crazy black voice." Kimmel acknowledged imitating black people on other occasions as well.

Kimmel, who is slated to host the Emmy Awards this year, announced last week that he's taking the summer off amid a brewing blackface controversy; he has not issued an apology.

One too many blackface skits. Sorry, Jimmy - we're gonna have to require you to take some time off. Don't worry about coming back.

Jimmy Kimmel apologizes for offensive impressions of Black celebrities
By Marina Pitofsky - 06/23/20 02:55 PM EDT

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel released an apology Tuesday after facing criticism for wearing blackface in an old recurring sketch on Comedy Central’s “The Man Show," according to multiple reports.

Kimmel, who co-hosted “The Man Show," which ran from 1999 to 2004, performed in a skit that including him dressing in blackface to portray NBA star Karl Malone, an impression he also used to on KROQ radio in the 1990s.

“I have long been reluctant to address this, as I knew doing so would be celebrated as a victory by those who equate apologies with weakness and cheer for leaders who use prejudice to divide us. That delay was a mistake,” the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host said Tuesday. “There is nothing more important to me than your respect, and I apologize to those who were genuinely hurt or offended by the makeup I wore or the words I spoke.”

  • Didn't vote for McCain Dole Romney Trump !
I imagine most of you are like me, could care less that he did these things. Comic doing an impersonation and doing the same with a song.

What we do acknowledge is Kimmel being a hypocrite in using the same things against people he didn't care for politically leftist reasons.... This whole PC protection of anything black (and not holding the same standards for whites) just stinks to high heaven. He is destroying the leftist so-called freedom of speech to burn it at the alter of communism.

No tears if we never see you again Jimmy. You are a one record leftist that skips back to where you began over and over.
Exodus 18:21 Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders over ....

Kimmel can be funny when he isn't being political (excluding the early work which I never saw any way). But he can't help his smirky self. And he lies like a rug. I think it would amuse me if he doesn't come back.

  • Well EXCUSE me!
A little off topic, well off Kimmel anyway, they pulled Gone With The Wind because slavery or something and I was thinking about other movies and can't wait for them to discover Holiday Inn and the blackface minstrel show by Crosby and Astaire. And are they going to have to trash any movie with Black actors portraying servants in stereotype? Because there were a shitload of them in the thirties and forties, I think the first Black servant character I can remember that didn't fit that mold was Rochester who always got the better of Jack Benny.
