Cuomo Blames Trump for New York’s Nursing Home Deaths

New York governor Andrew Cuomo (D.) blamed the Trump administration on Tuesday for the high rate of nursing home deaths in his state during the coronavirus pandemic.

"We followed federal guidance on the nursing homes," Cuomo said on NBC after being asked whether his mandate to return seniors recovering from the coronavirus to nursing homes was a mistake.

"We had more people die than any other state. That's a fact. The reason that happened was because we had the virus coming from Europe when the federal government told us the virus was coming from China. And we had no screening on people coming from Europe," he said.

I think this lying sack of shit is getting a little nervous about being held accountable for all the nursing home deaths that were directly caused by his orders.

1.) NY did NOT follow the Federal guidelines. NY forbade the testing of patients being sent to nursing homes, contrary to the guidelines. And nursing homes' stocks of PPE were taken for hospital use, making nursing homes unable to take the special precautions the Federal guidelines called for.

2.) Infected people from Europe only went to the NY/NJ/CN area? And why is the source relevant to the decision to place possibly infected people into nursing homes?

3.) Why are the Feds Cuomo's prime source of info for what is happening in his own state?!

4.) And, oh yeah, Cuomo issued the order on March 25th, https://www.nationalreview.com/news/cuomo-coronavirus-order-forcing-nursing-homes-to-take-covid-19-patients-scrubbed-from-new-york-state-website/ . Trump shut down travel from Europe on March 11th, and extended the shut down to include the British Isles on March 14th. How in Hades is that not a warning that infected patients were coming in from Europe?!

  Cuomo may have deceived himself into thinking he did nothing wrong, but his order doomed thousands of vulnerable people.           And a minute or two with an Internet search engine proves his claim false.         Cuomo isn't even a good liar!
