Distraught Chicago officials heard on tape fuming over looting, riots: 'My ward is a s--t show'

Distraught Chicago officials complained to Mayor Lori Lightfoot -- as looting and rioting in response to George Floyd’s death swept through the Windy City -- pleading for help and warning that the vulnerable had lost access to food and medicine.

According to a tape obtained by WTTW News of an online conference call among the city’s 50 aldermen and the mayor, one alderman could be heard weeping while others angrily decried what was going on in the city.

“My ward is a s--t show,” one alderman says. “They are shooting at the police.”

After the death of Floyd in police custody last month, riots and protests broke out in cities across the country, with many being overwhelmed by the scale of the looting and violence -- even though largely peaceful protests have returned to the streets after that initial surge of unrest.

The call in Chicago was held Sunday, May 31. That day alone, there were 699 arrests -- primarily looters --  132 officers injured, 48 shootings and 17 homicides, according to CBS Chicago, as well as widespread damage to businesses and other property.

Did you ever once consider that maybe, just maybe, that the Democrat policies you have embraced for decades on end simply don't work?  Perhaps if you took human nature into account instead of incessantly ignoring it, you would be able to not only see what went wrong, but also how to prevent it in the future.

Far-left Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot must feel like she’s being hit from every possible direction lately. The Windy City just experienced its most deadly weekend in 60 years. There were 18 homicides in a 24-hour period. Walmart, one of the city’s largest taxpayers, is considering closing some of their locations in the city, many of which have been looted and damaged heavily in the last two weeks.

According to CBS Chicago, during a recent conference call with all 50 of the city’s aldermen, Lightfoot engaged in an angry and expletive-laced argument with an official who had been critical of her handling of the riots.

Just because things were accurately described doesn't imply their collusion.
It was just a complex setup no doubt by a Republican.

I'll never believe these Chicago Saints ever even had a bad thought nor
used such language. Not possible. Not a smidgen. I doubt they even know

In 2023, Chicago residents will go to the polls to overwhelmingly cast their votes for a Democrat who will enact the same policies as Lightfoot and every Democrat before her.
