‘STFU Hillary’ trends for pandering lecture on ‘systemic racism’
June 7, 2020 | Jon Dougherty

Amid the ongoing protests and riots in the wake of Minneapolis resident George Floyd’s death at the hands of police, two-time failed Democratic presidential contender and nominee Hillary Clinton took to social media to lecture the country about “systemic racism.”

“Against a backdrop of a pandemic that has disproportionately ravaged communities of color, we are being painfully reminded right now that we are long overdue for honest reckoning and meaningful action to dismantle systemic racism,” Clinton, a former first lady and secretary of state, tweeted, along with a Medium post she wrote titled, “George Floyd’s Life Mattered.”

Clinton wrote:

Quote

What we are seeing across the country right now is the power of solidarity. Many of us will never know the pain of having to sit our son or daughter down and have “the talk” about how carefully they need to act around police, because the slightest wrong move could get them hurt or even killed. But we can recognize our privilege, practice humility, and speak out against white supremacy in all its forms.

For many white people, conversations about systemic racism and our own privilege are uncomfortable. Here’s what I’ve learned over the years: That discomfort is a good thing. It’s a necessary part of examining our own biases and actions, and our own role in perpetuating inequality.

While many Leftist activists, especially those associated with the Floyd protests, claim ‘systemic racism’ exists within police departments and other sectors of American society, hard data do not support the allegation.

In any event, Twitter users from both sides went off on Clinton with many blaming her for the perception that racism is systemic within our society.

Replying to @HillaryClinton

You wore black face in Arkansas. You stole from your own Haitian charity. You have been busted on tape being racist about young black men. You are no longer in this race, and if you are it’s all because you are desperately using a man with dementia. I’d be quiet if I were you.

Systemic - of or relating to a system.

There is no systemic racism, there are jerks, of all stripes, and no matter how many laws you write, no matter how much guilt you muster, that will never change.
