Stefanik: ‘No Explanation’ for Why U.S. Is Behind on Coronavirus Testing

On Thursday’s broadcast of Fox News Radio’s “Guy Benson Show,” Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) stated that there isn’t any explanation for why the United States is behind on coronavirus testing.

Stefanik said, “This is a time to unify as a country and make sure that the resources that are needed, increasing testing capabilities, while it’s good news that all 50 states are able to pursue testing, we need to fasten the pace, clearly, to make sure that we’re getting the most accurate information as quickly as possible.”

Host Guy Benson then asked, “[Y]ou mentioned the testing, and this seems to be maybe the most scandalously failed element of the U.S. response so far. How is it that we’re lagging so far behind on that absolutely crucial front?”

Stefanik responded, “There is no explanation.”

* A CDC lab's first batch(es) of tests being contaminated and ineffective (incompetence? #Resist?);

* The Obama era reg restricting testing to only FDA-approved tests, a reg suspended on 2/29.

Does Rep Stefanik realize that China identified this coronavirus to WHO just two months ago?

The last one of this magnitude was Influenza produced by the Great War.
It reaction, medicine/science produced policies/procedures to deal w/it.
Are those same policies appropriate 100 years later??????????????

As a person who bascically had a career (1/10) as a regulator and (9/10) "the regulated".....

I don't thnk you realize the largess of red tape isn't attributed to the executive branches of our government...  be in D.C, or at the State Level.

You commented on my point of bureacracy and the ability for COVID-19 testing implementation.  There is no connection of that , and Trump's ability as a leader.
