3 US troops wounded in new rocket attack on Iraq base
ABC News

It is unclear if Saturday's attack will lead to additional U.S. military action.

A new rocket attack against a base in Iraq housing servicemembers left three American troops wounded, according to a U.S. official.

The U.S. military carried out retaliatory airstrikes against weapons facilities belonging to an Iranian-backed Shiite militia group that were blamed for a similar attack on Wednesday on the base that killed two American service members and a British soldier.

A spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq confirmed via Twitter that three coalition members and two Iraqis were wounded in Saturday's attack on the large training base known as Camp Taji, located north of Baghdad.

There we go again, we are much more powerful; but fighting in someone else's backyard does pose problems.

Sigh...

More bad news to go along with the CV
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

What was it Obama said, in a different context of course and not about his moslem bro's,  “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”

So if they bring a rocket to the fight we should bring a MOAB, we need to make so expensive in terrorist lives and material that they don't even think about it again. But most importantly we need to get our people the hell out of Dodge!

Three U.S. troops were injured in a barrage of rockets that hit a base housing U.S. and other coalition troops north of Baghdad on Saturday according to the Pentagon. At least two Iraqis were also injured, Iraqi officials say.

“Last night, there was a Katyusha rocket attack on U.S., coalition and Iraqi forces at Camp Taji," said Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman in an emailed statement. "We had three U.S. service members who were injured. Two seriously who are being treated at the military hospital at the Baghdad Airport base. "

Hoffman said there were additional injuries to Iraqi partners.

“The Iraqi Security Forces have made an initial arrest and we are investigating the attack with them,” said Hoffman. "These rocket attacks are a deadly and dangerous distraction from the coalition’s mission to help the Iraqis with their goal to permanently defeat ISIS.”
