'Moderate' Dems Oppose Bill Condemning Idea of Illegal Immigrants Voting

In the Democratic leadership's rush to pass HR1, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) added language to the bill condemning the idea of illegal immigrants voting in any elections.

The provision read, "allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens."

Pretty straightforward, right?

Not for today's Democratic Party.

That was ~9 months ago. Crenshaw's amendment, predictably, was voted down. The bill passed the House and seems to be dying in the Senate, https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/1 . Also unsurprisingly.

I don't GAS what "moderate" Rats think.  They have no power in that party, so their opinion is of equal importance as what Pastafarians think about the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
