'Momentum of radicalism': Newt Gingrich predicts Democrats will impeach Trump

Newt Gingrich, who as Speaker of the House of Representatives led Republicans in impeaching President Bill Clinton, has predicted Democrats will impeach President Trump.

"I think the momentum of radicalism on their side is so great, they won't be able to help themselves," Gingrich told the Washington Examiner. "The Democrats have always had the votes if they wanted to do it, and it's up the them."

Gingrich, who argued that the Republican-controlled Senate was unlikely to remove Trump from office, shared his opinion shortly before current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment investigation.

An increasing number of House Democrats called for Trump's impeachment after a whistleblower disclosed Trump pushed Ukraine's president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden. Biden forced the ouster of a prosecutor who was investigating a company that employed his son Hunter.

 888high58888   I'm not going to be at all surprised if the Senate goes along with this --- 'they' have been trying to remove Trump from office for a long time.  I see a storm a brewin' on the horizon.  This may get very ugly.

We are getting into very dangerous territory here.

Democrats in government now routinely break laws with impunity because they control the permanent government bureaucracy (which was never meant to exist under our constitution) and also the news media and cultural institutions. Conversely, Republicans are routinely pre-convicted of crimes they have never committed by means of coordinated leaks of selective and sensitive information, false accusations and social ostracism.

Truth is the first casualty of war. It is also the last bastion of peace.
