There will be a reaction, alright.  The Stupid Party will, on queue, learn the wrong lesson and will never produce another fighter.  You, and others demanding a Milquetoast, will congratulate yourselves while the Nation collapses under the socialist boot.

I don't demand a "milquetoast", sir.   To the contrary, I want to preserve and expand our gains, and am not willing, 15 months out from the date of the election,  to bury my head in the sand in fealty to Trump.    There are those here who acknowledge that we will be forced to choose between two bad choices,  and that we are going to have to fight with the deeply flawed "army" we've got.

Well, I say screw that!   Am I the only one here willing to say that the emperor has no clothes?

You certainly stand alone, I'll agree with that.

Steve Martin used to have a bit that went "I'm going to tell you how to get a million dollars and not pay any taxes.  First.... get a million dollars, then, when the IRS comes...."

That's kind of what you're doing here.  You're assuming into existence a great candidate with a clear path to the nomination who doesn't yet exist, and very likely won't.  There's not a damn thing any of us can do to make that happen, and nobody in power seems to believe there's much of a chance of that happening either.

You're asking us to discuss fantasy instead of reality.

I understand,  but I also know that every journey begins with a single step.   I am posting on a public forum to express my view that someone the President trusts needs to lobby him to think long and hard of the consequences to all the good he has accomplished if he decides to stand for re-election.

Right!  Exactly so!  Roy Moore is NOT in DC and they are damned determined to make sure he never is.  There is a REASON for that.

You betcha.   Too bad only some folks (too few) 'get' that reason.

If that happens, such attempts presumably would happen outside our sight, and without our knowledge.  So until word of that actually leaks...exactly what is there to discuss about it?

Kobayashi Maru . . . .

That, right there, is the biggest hurdle to anyone convincing Trump to step aside.  Because his likely response would be that everyone through it was the Kobayashi Maru in 2016, and look what ended up happening.  Also, he'd -- again, quite rightly -- view any polls in 2019, the spring of 2020, and likely even the summer of 2020, as being too soon to be truly reliable.  A lot can happen between July and November in an election year to swing a race.

My guess is that Trump wouldn't suspect he was going to lose until October 2020...September at the earliest.  And that's just too late for a pinch hitter.

the DJIA was up nearly 400 today in spite of ontinuous efforts to drag YOUR 401K down.

This thread is goofy, going on and on ad infinitum for a 3rd party kook, when Trump polls very well  wit GOP voters.

I wonder which dem gets the Fake Deacon's support?

Haven't seen a text from him in almost a year.  Don't see him endorsing any of this field, however.

All here might as well get used to the idea of

TRUMP in 2020

No one stands a chance against him.  His aggressive nature would eat all competitors alive.  And let's get serious, the media is EXTREMELY BIASED, so do you really think their polls are CREDIBLE?  Hell no!!!!  Even groups like Pew Research are funded by the likes of Soros.  Again, do you really believe any of it?  Suffice to know that Trump is favored strongly by Republicans.

Does anyone think any one of the leaders in the Democommies stands a chance against Trump?  Really???

Biden...doesn't know where he is half the time
Warren...lying sack of sh*t that lied most of her life claiming to be a Native American.....please....and on top of that is whacky as they come
Sanders...Mr Democratic Socialist which is semantics for communist!   Please get real.

And for the rest of the clown car....not a one will EVER be presidential.
Some think Gabbard has a future.  She is a hari krisna follower.  She would be drawn and quartered by any opponent.

And for the person upstream that likes Daniel Crenshaw.  Yes, he is very likable, but guess what, he was born in Scotland!  I could be wrong, but I believe that disqualifies him.

It will be Trump, and he will win.  The ONLY Democommie that stands to give him a decent run is HR Clinton.  She has the money, and she knows where she made all her mistakes last time.  It is my contention she will be the Dems nominee again.  When she announces, she sucks all the air out of Biden's limp campaign, and half the wind out of all the others.  It will happen.

However, she loses by a larger Electoral College margin in 2020.  The American people want to be represented, and they haven't been in many decades.  When Trump leaves, Pence will run in 2024.  Does he get it done?  Who knows.
