'He looked frail to me': Obama's former doctor weighs in on Biden and the aging presidential field
by Kimberly Leonard

Barack Obama's former doctor is worried about the advancing age of Joe Biden, whom he said looked "frail" during the Democratic debates when confronted by Kamala Harris about his history with race relations.

"Biden made me nervous," said Dr. David Scheiner, who was Obama's personal physician for the 22 years before he became president. "Harris started attacking him and he looked frail to me. I sort of got the feeling he wasn’t very strong. It was similar to the feeling I got when Republicans started attacking [special counsel Robert] Mueller so fiercely."

But despite his concerns, Scheiner would still vote for Biden, or any Democrat in the crowded primary field, over President Trump. He called the president "incredibly dangerous" and said Trump, 73, was exhibiting his own health and aging problems.

He noted that Trump is overweight, has a poor diet and has a sedentary lifestyle, which puts him at risk of cardiovascular problems. He has also been concerned about the president's speech patterns and worries about his risk for dementia and stroke.

"He garbles. That is a really critical issue. This is not trivial," Scheiner said. "Seth Myers jokes about it but it's not a joke. The guy just can't find the words. He's having difficulty."

This is like the doctors who told congress that Trump was mentally ill. Maybe he is, but none of them actually examined him or tested him.  This doctor is forming his opinions by watching his subjects on tv.  So his opinion on their health is about as credible as mine.    And my opinion isn't worth a plug nickel.

Biden is 76, right?
Which will make him close to 78, if he was to win and take office in 2021.

Fearless prediction:
If Biden runs and wins, he won't complete his first term.

So...
Look at who he picks to be his running mate.
Because THAT person is going to end up president in his stead.

@Fishrrman

Wasn't President Reagan in his 70s when he was in office?  Age may not mean anything.

0bama had to pick someone to make him look smarter; Biden will have to pick someone to make him look both smarter and younger.  Mad Maxine seems like a perfect fit.

Took office at 69, left office at 77. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's at 81.

But age affects different people different ways. Most people start noticeably declining in their early 80s, but there are plenty of examples of it happening to younger people (see: Hillary Clinton).

LOL!   Obama's "former doctor" may also be sending Hillary a message here, too!

But all that aside... answer me this:

If Hillary Clinton won the Popular Vote in 2016, that...together with the non-stop 24/7/365 anti-Trump media, Hollywood and social media...why isn't she the 2020 Nominee?

And I have an aunt who is 78 and sharper than I am (I'm 66).

Point I was trying to make is that Biden is not necessarily unsuited for the presidency because he is in hi 70s and "appears frail" to this doctor.

And I'd also question this doctor's motives in making these comments.  Is he supporting Kamala Harris or one of the other 469 Democratic candidates for the presidency?  Does he have an agenda ? Was he compensated for his half-ass opinion by a Biden  and/or Trump enemy?  Yes, I know the doctor said he would still vote for Biden or any Democrat over Trump, but he could be lying.

In other words, I'd be suspicious of this guy's medical opinion about Biden and Trump.

You're probably right.

I haven't noticed any appreciable decline in Biden's functions at all. Yet. Nor do I have any real suspicion that he's going to any time soon. But the left is deeply resentful that their frontrunner is another white guy in his 70s. So they'll say anything to change that.
