Trump forces 'staffing up' to end GOP losing streak in Minnesota
Star Tribune, Jul 14, 2019

Days after President Donald Trump officially announced his 2020 re-election bid, Minnesota Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan attended a picnic on the White House lawn. As they posed for a selfie, the state GOP leader thanked the president for making three visits to the state since taking office.

“I told him, ‘We appreciate you coming and we hope to see you here at least as many times before the election next year,’ ” Carnahan said.

The president’s response: “I will be there.”

Minnesotans have picked the Democratic nominee for the White House in every election since 1972. Trump, who lost the state by just 1.5 percentage points in 2016, believes he can end that streak. With 15 months to go until the general election, the GOP is doubling down on efforts to turn Minnesota red, putting national campaign staff on the ground and hosting a series of training sessions to mobilize Republican voters.

“We’re really excited to be very, very ahead of the curve as far as historically staffing up, especially in a state that the president came within 44,000 votes of flipping last time,” said Stephanie Alexander, the Midwest regional field director for Trump Victory, a joint effort by the Republican National Committee and the president’s re-election campaign. “This is the first time this has ever been done,” she added.

The Trump reelection campaign will have the money to focus on states Republicans traditionally forfeit.

This pleases me.   happy77

Yes it's a good thing.  However, the concern is still there hoping that the RNC/GOP are putting measures in place to curb the fraud and corruption that was experienced during the mid terms.  Otherwise there is going to be pure mayhem in the streets, and countless lawsuits/ballot recounts if Trump wins re-election.

I don't know what's being done.  Hopefully, something.  I'm hoping the consolidation of immigration data that will come out of the citizenship question will also be used to clean voter roles.

But the surest way to secure an election is to get out and vote in numbers that overwhelm the fraud.  (Yes, it's doable ... even if some voters stay home or write in some loser for personal gratification.  They, too, can be rendered moot.   happy77)

Enough votes to overwhelm the fraud and corruption is very wishful thinking. Anything is possible, but likely? Time will tell.  Trump has some time to turn things around at the border and to appeal to the voters that he's going to need.

Minnesota?
A lost cause.

Spend the money in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
It's going to be tough to hold all three.
