Democratic strategist Antjuan Seawright predicted Wednesday that Sen. Lindsey Graham's (R-S.C.) 2020 challenger, Jaime Harrison, will shake up the political landscape in South Carolina.

"I do think that Jaime Harrison will be a political earthquake in Graham-land, and I think that the folks in Sen. Graham-land understand that. And they will not take this for granted," Seawright, who is president and CEO of Blueprint Strategy, told Hill.TV's Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton on "Rising."

Harrison, who served as the first African American chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party, announced Wednesday that he will challenge Graham for his Senate seat next year.

The Democratic candidate faces a tough road ahead in a state that Trump won by 14 points in 2016.

"While some people see this as a real uphill battle, I've learned that in these types of situations, Jaime Harrison is a person you want in battle with you because he's a known fighter, he has a track record of getting things done," Seawright said. "I think that Lindsey Graham will have a real problem with Jaime Harrison in the general election."

It will be interesting to see if Graham retiring from the Armed Services committee hurts him in 2020. SC is a big military state and Graham kept the money rolling in.
