Funeral set for soldier who died in North Korea in 1951
By: The Associated Press

BILOXI, Miss. — A funeral is set for a U.S. Army soldier who died in a North Korean prison camp nearly 68 years ago.

WLOX-TV reports Pvt. James P. “Alvin” Shaw will be buried Friday in Biloxi National Cemetery on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The Mississippi native was 25 when he died in June 1951, and his remains were sent to Hawaii in 1954. Shaw was positively identified in 2016, and officials began searching for his family.

It doesn't say so in the blurb, but they did find relatives, and two nephews were waiting at the airbase to take note of his homecoming.

This is important.
