'Seattle Is Dying' because Liberalism Is Killing It

If you haven't seen the KOMO News special Seattle Is Dying, you need to.  (Watch it here.)  The hour-long show does a sound job of depicting the ugly decline of one of the most beautiful places in America.  However, the piece misses the forest for the nasty, dirty, twisted trees.

Part of the root of the problem in Seattle is political, but Seattle Is Dying virtually ignores the liberal politics behind Seattle's foul decline.  As John Sexton at Hot Air put it, "[t]here's really no escaping the fact that the current situation is the result of political decisions."

    And yet, reporter Eric Johnson [the KOMO reporter behind the story] said on Facebook that he though[t] politicizing the story was a mistake.  He says he's received many offers to comment on national shows that lean either right or left and he's turned them all down.  He really seems to believe that people on all sides of the aisle can see the problems and the solutions regardless of where they are coming from.

Police responded to an anonymous poll, since they are fearful about speaking out.

Their responses state that drugs are involved with 100% of the homeless.

Seattle is crumbling under Socialism and lawlessness.

I recently watched a great documentary about how liberals, progressivism, and socialism have been destroying our country one city at a time. You may have seen it: Seattle Is Dying. It is a KOMO feature about how homelessness, drug abuse, and political neglect in the city of Seattle.

It is a must watch and is a serious eye opener to what is really going on in all major cities with Democratic control. As I’m writing this, this documentary has 1,600,000 views since being released on March 19 2019. I feel like every American should watch this video so they can see the damage of progressive Democrats. Our country is at risk to socialism. We cannot let this happen.

Since I grew up in Seattle, this documentary really bothered me. The smell of salty air, seaweed, hot coffee, and cinnamon donuts have been replaced by urine, feces, and terrible hobo musk. Tattered tents, trash, and sewage replace the sights of glittering waters, dewy grass, and beautiful landscapes. The hums and buzzes of the city are drowned out by insane yells and screams of the homeless. Trust me, it’s not just one or two of these homeless people doing this, but thousands.  ...

or just San Francisco.

Suburban life doesn't get much more pristine, that the OC, California. Home to just over 3 million well behaved, diverse, middle class residents.


Seldom mentioned is the fact, after San Francisco County, OC is the next most densely populated coounty in CA.


And there became a colony of homeless, settled on an urban river trail, in the shadow of Angel Stadium.

Authorities failed to crack down fora time. But eventually they did crack down.

And sincecracking down, it seems to have started the "cracked window" mentality for civic authorities. Any homeless colonies getting started, are dealt with.

But the underlying facts are not really changed;

--increasingly lax voter attitudes, about drug use, about minor crimes, about jail/prison sentences, about public behavior.


I have talked with police officers. They say their hands are tied. They say the public votes for the lax treatment towards, homeless drug addicts.


BTW the Seattle film states that 100 percent of the homeless are drug users, NOT single Moms down on luck.
