Supreme Court hands Trump administration a victory in immigration battle

The Supreme Court on Tuesday handed the Trump administration a victory in its battle to clamp down on illegal immigration by making it easier to detain immigrants with criminal records.

The ruling that federal immigration authorities can detain immigrants awaiting deportation anytime after they have been released from prison on criminal charges represents a victory for President Trump.

In the case before the justices, a group of mostly green card holders argued that unless immigrants were picked up immediately after finishing their prison sentence, they should get a hearing to argue for their release while deportation proceedings go forward. But in the 5-4 decision on Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled against them, deciding that federal immigration officials can detain undocumented immigrants at any time after their release from local or state custody. The court also ruled the government maintains broad discretion to decide who would represent a danger to the community in deciding who to release or detain.

GREAT news!

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Great news, indeed!

Now...something needs to be done about "low-level" Federal Judges issuing injunctions that affect jurisdictions not in their purview.  Why does a Judge in Hawaii get to block policy in Texas?

Couldn't be because we let the same people who adjudicate things in courtrooms write the laws in the first place, could it?

Or, it could be that the DeeCee politicians secretly approve of the policy behind these universal Injunctions.  The Judges are doing the dirty work for the Statists while the lying politicians (I repeat myself) can feign innocence to the outraged voters.

Might it not be far wiser for Trump to use only the Judicial
rather than the Congressional System, to fight his battle
over immigration and the Wall, now that he has Barr at
Justice and a friendlier SCOTUS???
