Having officially tossed her hat in the ring for the 2020 Democratic nomination, California Senator Kamala Harris has trotted out her initial platform to campaign on. Keep in mind that we’re currently experiencing one of the most robust economic recoveries in living memory with low taxes, rising wages and as close as we’re likely to get to full employment. Ms. Harris has come out this week with a statement letting you all know that we’ve had just about enough of that nonsense and she’s going to turn this car around and take us back to 2007. (WaPo)

This problem had been - excuse the pun - festering, for years, AS she was screwing up as the City's Top Cop.

And This is what she'll do to the whole Country if given the chance.

No one, from either party, likes a prosecutor with a record of fudging the facts to put someone in prison. Yet, “worst of all,” the Times piece argues, “is Ms. Harris’s record in wrongful conviction cases.”

Consider George Gage, an electrician with no criminal record who was charged in 1999 with sexually abusing his stepdaughter, who reported the allegations years later. The case largely hinged on the stepdaughter’s testimony and Mr. Gage was convicted. Afterward, the judge discovered that the prosecutor had unlawfully held back potentially exculpatory evidence, including medical reports indicating that the stepdaughter had been repeatedly untruthful with law enforcement. Her mother even described her as “a pathological liar” who “lives her lies.”

Gage’s conviction was eventually overturned on appeal.

That case is not an outlier. Ms. Harris also fought to keep Daniel Larsen in prison on a 28-year-to-life sentence for possession of a concealed weapon even though his trial lawyer was incompetent and there was compelling evidence of his innocence. Relying on a technicality again, Ms. Harris argued that Mr. Larsen failed to raise his legal arguments in a timely fashion. (This time, she lost.)

She also defended Johnny Baca’s conviction for murder even though judges found a prosecutor presented false testimony at the trial. She relented only after a video of the oral argument received national attention and embarrassed her office.

And then there’s Kevin Cooper, the death row inmate whose trial was infected by racism and corruption. He sought advanced DNA testing to prove his innocence, but Ms. Harris opposed it. (After The New York Times’s exposé of the case went viral, she reversed her position.)

"To a man, every lefty I’ve spoken to understands that “Harris for President” would gain little or no traction outside of New York and California. Virtually ALL of them want a (probably very formidable) Biden/Beto ticket. The usual deep blue states might vote for Harris, but liberals are aware she’d be a non-starter in the rest of the country."

Hope so, and then we can watch Trump walk All Over them in the debates.
