Trump Blames California Wildfires on Forest Management
« on: November 10, 2018, 04:54:00 pm »
President Trump blamed the latest California wildfires on “gross mismanagement of the forests,” in a tweet on Saturday.

“There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests,” the president wrote.

I've been saying this for ages.  It is not Smokey Bear's fault.  There are scientific methods for forest management that would greatly reduce the frequency and extent of forest fires.

But the tree huggers love the earth and you can never ever cut a tree down no matter what...
Science be damned about promoting healthy forests.

Urban Enviro Idiots with their "Leave it as Mother Gaia made it"

If you left stacks and stacks of old newspapers in your house the way Ca refuses to clean out the dry, dead underbrush the Fire Dept would write you tickets, and eventually condemn your house as a fire hazard.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Exactly and it totally makes me appreciate President Trump even more.  No other president would have taken this issue on.  I said it during the Colorado forest fires earlier this year.  Environmentalists pretend to care about forests but their policies result in forests burning down and taking houses and people with them.

Same woodpeckers responsible for horseshit like the Endangered Species List, Hunting Bans, and all kinds of other tom foolery.

Decades ago those nitwits got cougar hunting banned in Ca. DFG sold an awful lot more cougar tags than animals themselves.

And within a decade women in the East Bay were reporting being scared motherless noticing they were being stalked by cougars on the jogging paths outside their condo communities.

So then the Govt has to send out hired pros to either kill or trap and relocate the problem cats. Hundreds of $thousands blown that should have been spent improving cougar, bear, deer habitat, and policing rural poachers, was pissed away protecting overweight cougars in Nikes and Spandex.

The cat ain't a problem cat. It's a cat being a cat.

Sell tags and let a few nimrods take a few shots. Scare them back up into the hills just fine and put the Game Dept Funding into the till.

The name, Julia Butterfly Hill comes to mind.

Gordon Cundill was a professional in Africa. Took clients out on Safari after the dangerous beasties.

Pete Capstick went out with Gordon for a lion of his own after his stint as a pro. Can't keep the ones you have to shoot as part of the job.

Pete was complaining about antis bitching that the hunter's high powered rifles gave them an unfair advantage over a lion.

Gordon replied, very off hand, that if they really felt that way they were more than welcome to come out to Africa and leave their rifle in camp when they went out after lion.
