"On Tuesday, the upstairs-downstairs politics of the Democrats convulsed. New York Democrats elected Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and sent Joe Crowley, the fourth most powerful Democrat in the House, to his early retirement."
Joe Crowley should do what Senator Joe Lieberman did back when he lost the primary here in Connecticut -- run as an independent in the general.
Lieberman won re-election as such.
(Interestingly, in that election the Republican candidate for U.S. senator won a whopping 17% of the total votes cast)
New York doesn't have a "sore loser" law to my knowledge.
If I was Mr. Crowley, I'd be up in Albany filing the papers tomorrow.
