A Memorial Day weekend tradition in the nation's capital made a whole lot of noise -- all to honor America's veterans and fallen troops.

More than a million motorcyclists and spectators from across the country took part in the non-profit group Rolling Thunder's Ride for Freedom, according to estimates. The ride, past many of Washington's military monuments, also aims to call attention to troops missing in action, and to the struggles of current vets.

This thing is a joke. It's all about "Me,ME,ME,DAMMIT! I WANNA BE ON TEEBEE!"

I know a local guy in his 60's that may have once once went to a war movie, and he has the leather vest, chaps,HD t-shirts,and all the trendy badges  and POW/MIA patched pinned or sewn on the vest. Everytime there is  Rolling Thunder event in a near-by city,he goes to the Harley dealer and rents a bike.

The only reason he isn't still living with his mother is that she died. He is still living in her house, though.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!

Well, maybe the guy you know.  But they showed up in droves to protect the funeral of a Marine killed in Afghanistan.  Some weird group was going to protest his funeral.  They were respectful, caused no problems, paid their own way.  Also Rolling Thunder showed up at Walter Reed when that group was standing on the corner protesting everytime a bus came by with wounded in it.  After Rolling Thunder that protest just sorted of disappeared.
"Old man can't is dead.  I helped bury him."  Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas quoting his grandfather.
