While I agree with that 'gun free zones' are asinine (they do nothing but make some people feel good), I don't believe most of these shooters really think about that in their planning. Most are extremely mentally unstable and are choosing a target that is personal to them, in this case, the school where he was bullied. Also in this case, in an interview with some other students I posted on the other thread (I think, I'll go make sure I did), they said he seemed suicidal so I don't think he was worried about his own safety.
