Major Earthquake Strikes Off Papau New Guinea

6.3-magnitude tremor strikes off the coast of Papua New Guinea, early Monday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), an earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Papua New Guinea (PNG), early Monday.
The tremor – which is the most recent in a series which has hit the region – occurred about 180 kilometers west of Rabaul, New Britain Island. There have been no immediate reports of damages or casualties.
The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, the USGS reported.
