Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is working with Ivanka Trump to craft a paid family leave plan that will appeal to fellow Republicans, Politico reported Sunday.

“We still have to work on members of my own party. I think there will be significant initial resistance to it, because it’s just not an issue that’s been identified with the Republican Party,” Rubio told the news outlet.

Rubio is reportedly considering a plan that would allow people to dip into Social Security benefits to take time off. Such a proposal would address concerns of Republicans who don’t want to raise taxes to pay for family leave.

Great idea. I vote for paid family leave for both parents and it should be retroactive for those who already have kids. As long as we’re demanding things, employers should have to pony up Disney vacay packages with mandatory paid vacation. Does anybody have Ivanka’s number? I want to help her MAGA.

I knew this $hit was gonna resurface when he gave Ivanka a shout out during the SOTU and add in his $1.5T infrastructure program, this is pure insanity.   Didn't the Treasury Department just announce they were gonna have to borrow $955B this year?
