Flake: Trump rallies reflect 'spasms of a dying party'

By Brett Samuels  - 12/24/17 09:38 AM EST

Retiring Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) on Sunday said the crowds at rallies for President Trump and other Republicans reflect "spasms of a dying party," adding that the GOP will have to formulate a governing agenda to reach more voters.

"When you look at some of the audiences cheering for Republicans, sometimes, you look out there and you say, 'those are the spasms of a dying party,' " Flake said on ABC's "This Week."

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Haha.  Flake has a first-hand look at a dying party.

While I don't think the majority of Americans support Trump with the fervor of the crowds at his rallies, I do think they support Trump now.

It's taken a while but whatever fears they had about Trump have been largely allayed and most people agree with the things he's accomplished.

Kind of ironic that we had people here refusing to give Trump any credit for the tax bill, claiming that it was all Congress.

These are the same people who refused to give Trump credit for some of the things he tried to do that were thwarted by the same great Congress.

Fortunately, I think people out in the Real World are smarter than people here in this safe space.
Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain.

Fishrrman:
Hold your own rally, Jeff, and see how many show up for it.

Flake, you need to pick battles you can win.
