Former NBC TV host Billy Bush has confirmed that he heard Donald Trump boasting about grabbing women by the genitals in a 2005 recording.

In the New York Times, he said the US president was "indulging in revisionist history", amid reports Mr Trump now questioned whether the tape was real.

Mr Trump originally apologised for the remarks, which came to light a month before he won last year's election.

Exactly ... this story came out during the campaign; talk is one thing, action is quite another.  Not saying that I condone trash talk about women in anyway.  Locker room talk is one thing but physical sexual misconduct is quite another.

Instead of derailing candidate Trump, Billy Bush got himself fired a year ago over that taped conversation with Trump and it turned BillyBoy into a late night punch line.

Ever since then, Billy Bush has been desperately calling NBC trying to get rehired. Now that NBC needs him to tear Trump down they’ll let him back in the game; with the New York Times editorial board paving the way for his appearance tonight, ready to deliver the goods.

Interesting that the “damning” sound byte starts with Trump responding to something BillBoy said.

You think maybe Stephen Colbert will ask Billy Bush tonight what he was saying to Trump just before the byte began? Of course not. Because that would reveal Trump’s remark were simple locker room oneupmanship, just bawdy banter.

Once again Trump manages to resurrect something damning about himself, this time by reportedly questioning the authenticity of the "Access Hollywood" tape.  Remarks heard by millions, that he publicly admitted to saying, and apologized for.  Of course, his reportedly questioning the authenticity is what drove Billy Bush to respond and what causes this to once again be in the news.  Yet another self-inflicted wound IMO.

What caused it to be brought up again?

What I mean is did someone bring it up and Trump denied it or was it random
