Melania Trump has fired back at a Vanity Fair report claiming she never wanted to be first lady — telling CNN on Monday the magazine's reporting is wrong and "shameful."

Writing about the president's wife, Vanity Fair staffer Sarah Ellison says: "There may never have been a first lady less prepared for or suited to the role."

I can think of one less suited—-the lumbering, graceless beast who recently vacated the premises.

I believe that Melania wasn’t especially eager for this gig.  Who would be?  I read that her response to Trump telling her he wanted to run for president with, “Why?  We have a nice life.”  Well, yeah.  Makes sense.

But she seems to have accepted and grown into the role extremely well.  I expect Ellison is having a very hard time dealing with the public’s positive response.

 Melania, our great and very hard working First Lady, who truly loves what she is doing, always thought that “if you run, you will win.” She would tell everyone that, “no doubt, he will win.” I also felt I would win (or I would not have run) - and Country is doing great!
