The University of Wisconsin-Madison chancellor has shot down a student government request that a plaque be placed near an on-campus statue of Abraham Lincoln describing what they see as the president's culpability in massacres of Native Americans.

Chancellor Rebecca Blank said she was not open to making the Associated Students of Madison's desired change to the statute that has sat at the heart of the campus for over a century, student paper the Daily Cardinal reported.

I can't think of any ethnic advocacy group that preys more on victimhood than those claiming to represent Native Americans. They make Jesse Jackson look like Booker T. Washington in comparison.

American Indians or the Aminds of old are one of those groups that many Americans have a dim history of.   Many prefer to accept the lying leftist paradigm of the noble savage mistreated badly by white settlers and the gov.
Which many were.
But at the same time many Indian tribes were fierce and warlike.  They conquered other Indians, killed innocent people from other tribes as well as white settlers just trying to get through their land, and other bad things.
But again, the left wants to make the Evil White the bad guy in all these narratives.
Lincoln actually spared the lives of many of the Indians who took part in the 1862 uprising.  The numbers of white settlers the Indians killed numbered in the hundreds.

Where would they like the plaque recognizing the brutality of indigenous peoples to other indigenous peoples?

Or is it only a brutality if it was perceived to have been committed by Whites of European descent. Slaughter, mayhem, torture and slavery committed by people of color against people of color apparently gets a pass, but that's not surprising since the same thing is happening right now.

The leftist agenda is basically anti-modern civilization.  In 1500 here were only a few million Indians spread out in the continent above the Rio Grande. That means a person crossing the country could cross and recross the country many times without spotting any inhabitants.
The Indians contributed basically ZERO to modern civilization.  The people protesting European settlement are arguing for living in the Stone Age. 
Leftism is an evil, and it must be fought constantly.
