After health care loss, Trump tweets 'let ObamaCare implode'

President Donald Trump tweeted early Friday that the 51 senators who voted against the failed so-called "skinny" Obamacare repeal bill "let the American people down," urging lawmakers to simply "let ObamaCare implode, then deal."

"3 Republicans and 48 Democrats let the American people down. As I said from the beginning, let ObamaCare implode, then deal. Watch!" the president tweeted less than an hour after the Senate failed to pass a trimmed down Affordable Care Act repeal bill.

Three GOP lawmakers, Sens. John McCain, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, broke from the Republican majority in joining the 48 Democratic senators in striking down the bill. The vote's failure serves as the latest setback for congressional Republicans in their pursuit of Obamacare repeal legislation.

thanks for posting.  Ted is an absolute gem.  Hard to see a better example of what we need in DC than what you see in that video.  His logic and explanation is impeccable, and this was at 2 am in the morning.

Contrast his concerns for what happened with the turncoat McCain who cares less for the American people and just wishes to bask in the limelight of the media and Chuckie's praise.

Just recycles what Limbaugh and Levin say, has very few accomplishments himself, shut down the Government? He denies he did it.

If he was the nominee, I'd be loyal to the GOP and vote for him; I'm not sure though about the primaries, integrity is an issue.

Again I repeat myself: when was the last time any government program collapsed under its own weight? Trump know it doesn't work that way. People just get hooked on the entitlement and the program becomes indispensable.

He does not care whether this passes or fails. He can afford to buy insurance even he weren't on Medicare. He has access to doctors and hospitals. Our broken system does not affect him.

A real opportunity for Cruz (and others) to show their stuff, and get something passed which is an improvement.

My intuition is that over meatloaf, Trump and Cruz agreed to work for the American people.
