OK, I guess nobody else is going to post this:

Quote
Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter received medical attention for dehydration while in Winnipeg on Thursday, where he is helping build a Habitat for Humanity home.

The statement from the organization said that Carter was being rehydrated in hospital, and his wife was with him.

A Habitat volunteer told CBC News he saw Carter, 92, collapse after he'd been working in the sun for about an hour, using a handsaw to cut wood for a staircase.

Carter's bodyguards rushed over and carried him to a nearby vehicle. Shortly afterwards, firefighters and paramedics were seen scrambling, and an ambulance arrived....

I'll give him props for being out there doing charity work at his age.

I agree with you @Sanguine and I wish him a speedy recovery. He did good work with Habitat for Humanity.

I'm not mad at Jimmy Carter anymore - not after what we've had to put up with since he left office. Hope he gets well soon.

Thank god for Obama.  He's the only reason I can take my boot off Carters neck.

It is perfectly fine to think of someone like Carter as a lousy president, but a decent man.

I'm going to take the opposite position on Carter.  Yes, he builds houses for people, which is good.  But for me, that's more than outweighed by his hostility toward Israel and his habit of cozying up to dictators and tyrants.

He dismissed criticism of a book he wrote because it came from Jewish organizations.  He called for Israel to recognize Hamas.  Sorry...J don't wish harm on him, but I think he's far from decent.

I remember buying a house when interest rates were 18%. Carter was the worst President until Bammy.

Boy those were the days.  I took one of those new ARM Mortgages banks were offering to make the 30 Year fixed at 18%  look bad......  that started at 9.5% for the 1st year. It could adj up or down depending on the fed rate..... By year 3 it was 16.5%
:(

Eh. There's something indecent about supporting Hamas.

We ended up buying a house from a builder who had a lock at 12.5% at the bank but we had to fight hard to get it. A few years later, when Reagan was in power, we were so happy to refinance for 8%.
