Jeff Sessions suggested he could resign amid rising tension with President Trump

He is attacking Sessions just as he attacks every person with whom he comes into contact.  He will never stop attacking the Mayor of London and every world leader will get the same attack because he must attack to prove to himself he is the better.  He has done this every day of his life and will not stop.

The above is my analysis of his behavior.

I remember seeing interviews with childhood neighbors of Trump. Even those who said they liked him agreed that it was always His way or destruction.

Continuing my opinion:  He threatened Comey after he fired him by tweeting something like this: "You better hope no tapes were made when you were in the White House."

He is now faced with Comey tomorrow.  In Trump's mind Comey will be lying as Trump's truth is whatever he wants it to be at that moment.

The only part of that I disagree with you on is Trump calling out the Mayor of London.  The man is a Muslim and his sympathies aren't with the majority of the population of London or of England.  His religion teaches that he is loyal to Islam above all else.  Which is why he went out of his way to call what happened anything but what it really was...a terrorist attack by radical Islamists.

Now Trump should have done it formally at a press conference or through his press secretary instead of one of his insipid twitter rants.  That's just childish.

Trump is not used to working with lawyers who are not working for him. If the lawyer not running up billable hours then they have no incentive to agree with the guy

If Sessions hurries  and resigns he might be able to run for his own Senate seat again, ticking off Mo Brooks and Roy Moore.

But also of note, if Sessions leaves, he takes with him a lot of conservative clout that Trump usurped just by having him on the team. Conservative clout is not a currency that Trump has left to squander.

The way it now works is that ANYTHING a Trump supporters disagrees with, is automatically FAKE NEWS.  However, if the same exact news source comes out with a story questioning Ted Cruz or another exposé on Hillary Clinton.... why that news is scripture!

This allows the person to act as a True Believer and never regard anything they choose not to believe - even when overwhelming facts or corroborating evidence is present.

What it adds up to is a complete and thorough inability of the population to discern the truth about anything - resulting in wisdom itself taking a vacation from these shores.

The way it now works is that ANYTHING a Trump supporters disagrees with, is automatically FAKE NEWS.  However, if the same exact news source comes out with a story questioning Ted Cruz or another exposé on Hillary Clinton.... why that news is scripture!

This allows the person to act as a True Believer and never regard anything they choose not to believe - even when overwhelming facts or corroborating evidence is present.

What it adds up to is a complete and thorough inability of the population to discern the truth about anything - resulting in wisdom itself taking a vacation from these shores.

I have noticed that when a person begins speaking in absolutes, and starts throwing out broad generalizations, that usually means that they have lost the argument.


For example, "All NeverTrumpers eagerly agree with anything that is anti-Trump from any source or non-source whatsoever, no matter who is publishing it!" See what I mean?

Sessions will be caught up in the Mueller investigation for his unreported meetings with Russians.
He had to amend his sworn statement to add some meetings he 'forgot'.
If he leaves he may escape public humiliation........if he stays he will reap the public humiliation he so richly deserves.
