Will Obama declare a national emergency to stop Trump presidency?

(INTELLIHUB) — In an absolutely stunning CNN segment, the anti-Trump cable news networks media analyst Brian Stelter floated the idea that the impending Trump presidency is an actual national emergency.

The “astonishing exchange” between Stelter and talking heads Liz Wahl and Julia Ioffe occurred Sunday when Wahl actually claimed that Trump’s win somehow undermined our democracy before Stelter floated a sinister idea that if taken literally could be seen as pre-programming for an eventual Obama announcement of an actual national emergency.

I've long thought that O would find a way to hang on to power if he wasn't succeeded by someone he thought wouldn't continue his destruction of America.

I find it amazing how much these people are willing to grasp at any straw to retain power, and execute any illegal action based on that desperately grasped straw.

Obama cannot hold on to power after Jan. 20th. All powers of the President vacate him. Laws, regs, executive orders, command of the military, SS protection...all of it. He can't even screw with the Electoral College vote legally.

Any attempt to retain power would be a coup. Under the Constitution, Obama and anyone who followed his orders would become enemy combatants against the US, guilty of sedition and treason, and any acts committed under that color of authority would be acts of terrorism.

And under the Patriot act, all of them could be thrown into a dark hole without trial and left there and subject to enhanced interrogation, if that's the game they want to play.

They'll find themselves on the wrong side of things, very quickly.

Nah, Obama will be gone on the 20th just like he's supposed to.  The left raised the same spectre with Dubya, and it didn't happen there either.  You'd have an immediate constitutional crisis that would be resolved by the uniformed guys with guns saying how it is going to be, and that's going to be to follow the Constitution.

I've heard this story even before Trump threw his hat into the ring -- Obama is going to declare martial law and hold on to the presidency.   Uh...no.

Once again, the media takes the musings of brain dead talking heads and reports them as fact.  This is why I stopped paying attention to cable "news."
