When you buy fresh bananas [Great!] you have to process them.
First is to wash them. They have a ripening agent on them. Get rid of that.
Then cut off the 'stem' of the bananas. The thing at the top holding them all together
You don't need that. Cut it off.

Put the bananas in a ziplock or something.
They will last for a week or two.

Never heard about "ripening agent"... unless that is code for fruit fly eggs (and maggots)...

Nothing as depressing as going through a freezer looking for something good to cook and finding 7 bags of frozen bananas taking up space... I secretly toss a few bags when the wife is not looking. She makes a mean Banana Bread, but not 'That' often. (Hope she doesn't read this)...
