U.S. owes black people reparations for a history of ‘racial terrorism,’ says U.N. panel
By Ishaan Tharoor September 27 at 12:45 PM

The history of slavery in the United States justifies reparations for African Americans, argues a recent report by a U.N.-affiliated group based in Geneva.

This conclusion was part of a study by the United Nations' Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent, a body that reports to the international organization's High Commissioner on Human Rights. The group of experts, which includes leading human rights lawyers from around the world, presented its findings to the United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday, pointing to the continuing link between present injustices and the dark chapters of American history.

Ahhh yes, evil whitey owes but blacks in Africa, Arabs and muslims who actually captured and sold them don't owe anything.

What about the countries where the other 97% of slaves of African Descent went? What do they have to pay?

Slavery was terribly wrong of course,

Yet, in the end, all people have done wrong;

Say, the Irish from the English and so on; if one starts making these reparations for past wrongs deals, they may well be endless.

Indigenous peoples next? It is unfortunate what we have done in history, we have to try to make sure these things do not happen again.

Dear UN: name a country where black people have achieved more and lived more freely and in more comfort than they do in the United States of America.

That's right. You can't.

Because most of your member nations have far less freedom and opportunity and still think they can smugly criticize the United States while oppressing their own people.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Prediction:  Obama will become leader of the UN and advance this ridiculous idiocy so he can win another Nobel Prize.

Ancestors of American slaves owe reparations to the hundreds of thousands Union Army Soldiers that died to give them their freedom. Why isn't the UN concerned about modern day slaves being held, sold, and traded by muslims? I think that the UN owes it to all the American people to get the hell out of America and contrary to their desire, rather than Americans expend their lives and tax dollars policing the world the other member nations can pony up their young men's lives and limbs and they can contribute more of their economy to being the global police force. Screw the UN, it's time for an American exit, all the little pissant socialist and dicktatorship countries hate us and work against us anyway.

I say we send the UN a bill for our work in saving the world from the Nazis and the USSR.

Today?  That is who the main slave trade traders were in the 16 & 1700s, too.  Of course, they should get reparations from the African chiefs who sold them into slavery in the first place.
