Jury convicts drug dealer in 3 heroin overdose deaths

A Newville man with a substantial criminal history was convicted by a Cumberland County jury Friday of three counts of drug delivery resulting in death.

The verdicts against 26-year-old Corey Palson, who was accused of supplying heroin that killed three 20-year-olds, came after a four-day trial.

First Assistant District Attorney Jaime Keating said he will ask for consecutive state prison sentences when Judge Thomas A. Placey sentences Palson in December. Each drug delivery/death count carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison, Keating said.
