Quote
Trump adviser Al Baldasaro clarified for the record Tuesday that he doesn't think Hillary Clinton should be assassinated, but rather thinks she should be shot by firing squad for "treason."

Baldasaro, who co-chairs Trump's veteran coalition, told MassLive.com Tuesday that he believes the media misinterpreted his comments.

"The liberal media took what I said and went against the law and the Constitution and ran with it, and they said that I wanted her assassinated, which I never did," Baldasaro told The Republican/MassLive.com. "I said I spoke as a veteran, and she should be shot in a firing squad for treason."

Well he has a point, but a fair trial and a good hangin' is a bit more eloquent.

Unlike genius, stupidity seemingly has no limit.

Each new day in this election season thus brings a fresh opportunity for the practitioners of Trumpism to plumb new depths of Dumb.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

At least put in the stocks so we could throw things at her.

The human mind processes between 25-50 thousand thoughts per day and has an amazing capacity for imagination as a decision making engine. Even if you are conscious of it, ever time you are faced with a decision or any stimulus, your mind quickly analyzes (imagines) possibilities to weigh favorability for survival based correct decisions.

A healthy mind rejects almost everything instantly, that would be a detrimental thought. Often a child or someone with some disability will focus on and rationalize unhealthy thoughts. An adult (and especially a professional) may have some of those thoughts pass through for conscious decision making but they will reject thoughts that would end in a harmful result to themselves.

Someone with a cognitive disability does not reject harmful thoughts but often will go so far as to verbalize them (and in worst case scenarios, act on them).

So yes, most people would have had that thought, especially when they read something that creates the decision stimulus in their minds.  A healthy adult rejects those type of thoughts and certainly doesn't verbalize them.

And no, this isn't about political correctness, it is about being a healthy, functional adult.

The last thing people should want is someone who 'says what they think'. We should want someone who has a healthy mind to filter what they think and make the best decisions in both what they say and what they do.

As a joke, sure.  Who the hell puts this out seriously?

Nope.  Prosecuted for violating national security law, and perhaps tax evasion, depending on what one can hang on the Clinton Foundation, and then jail time.  Besides which, I very highly doubt one gets shot for treason.  In fact, although the statute provides for the death penalty, it also provides for at least 5 years prison and a fine; further, AFAIK only 5 people have ever been executed for treason in the US:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:People_executed_for_treason_against_the_United_States

I doubt very seriously if anyone will ever be added to that list, even if we had direct irrefutable evidence that they were giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Besides which, it's one thing to think something; it's another thing entirely to say it out loud.  I have no doubt that plenty of men on the subway have very fond thoughts about some of the beautiful women also on the subway.  Thinking it is fine; saying it is not and could very well get you arrested for harassment.

The same applies to other things as well, including the aforementioned.  The inability to keep one's fantasies about another person to one's self is a sign of poor judgment.

A Hillary operative has obviously infiltrated the Trump camp. You'd never find such lack of discipline in a Trump supporter. < /sarc >
