Cutting her hands off was showing her mercy. He just as easily could have cut her head off, and no Muslim would have blinked an eye about it.
Look at the headline. He did NOT 'allegedly' cut her hands off. He did cut her hands off. The only 'alleged' part is why he did it, not if he did it. The headline is deliberately obscuring the fact of what happened. Or, maybe the writer does not understand how to write in English.
