Gohmert: Pray for Clinton, 'there's special needs there'

Rep. Louie Gohmert told a room of conservative activists Friday that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is mentally impaired and that she has "special needs," adding that Christians and others should not make fun of her for that reason.

Speaking at the Values Voter Summit, Gohmert said that Clinton has "made clear" that she is mentally impaired, piggybacking on attacks against her health and pointing out the concussion she suffered toward the end of her tenure at the State Department.

"I do want want to warn, since most people here are Christians, and I'm serious about this — a true believer does what Jesus did and still does. You don't make fun of people who are impaired [or] have special needs. And whether you like her or not, Hillary Clinton has made clear she is mentally impaired, and this is not somebody you should be making fun of," Gohmert said as the crowd chuckled.

This was from Friday I believe. It is now somewhat prolific.

Of course, no one could criticize him for saying this even before this latest incident.

This episode is rather stark but Gohmert is correct, we need to maintain being good Christians.
