....In his piece published Sunday, Thomas M. Wells recalls his experience working as Trump’s attorney nearly 30 years ago: “Donald Trump was then, as he is now, larger than life, particularly in his own eyes, and at the same time frighteningly small, with very little moral grounding. He was then, and still is, all ego and show,” Wells writes.

Among the 20 primary reasons why Trump should not be elected in November, Wells argues, is his habit of lying about virtually everything, the fact that he lacks discipline of thought and is utterly unbothered by his own ignorance, the fact that he has greatly exaggerated his success and skills, and “A thin skin does not work for a president.” To list just a few......

kaboom!

This may be the reason he started canceling appearances. His people need to sit him down and have a CTJ with him and rebrand his image.

I think being president is hard. I am glad that after a long day, President Obama retreats to his private study almost every night for 3 or 4 hours of quiet study... and reading.

Guys a closet Lib. For almost 8 years now we have been looking at the Presidents schedule. Rarely starts before 11 AM and usually ends by 3. Zero doesn't do shit and it shows through his ill informed blather. Every time he hits the podium, the words out of his mouth are written by others.

I don;t believe this guy is that great a character witness. He is disingenuous and in some aspects as big a liar as Donny.

Come on Frank!  The guy is a lawyer for Pete's sake!

Donny would spend 3 or 4 hours in the office and then golf and tweet.

I don't think the guy said anything we didn't already know.  I bet that even the Trump supporters if honest would agree.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

If that were true, I would vote for him. The less these jerks do in office, the better for all of us.

That right there settles it for me (based not upon what is being said, but based upon what I too have observed).

Trump will lie even when the truth sounds better than the lie he just made up.  He is out of touch with reality, always entertaining vain imaginations.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

The problem is this stuff that has been breaking everyday is just not resinating with the Trump base, and I'm not talking about the ones on political forums like TBR, but our neighbors, friends, and family.  I see their pro-Trump post on Facebook, so much so it seems to be now dominating all new post. Nothing is shaking them. They don't seemes phased. The Kool Aid is strong.

Yep. That is the scary part. I generally am more quiet than I have been in the past about politics this election year. I'm not happy with that, but I don't need to get into any fracases at the moment.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
