Quote
In the final 36 hours of the vice presidential guessing game, a top contender appeared on national television to argue why his main competitor was better.
"I don't know if I should say this, but it's so much fun that I'm going to," Newt Gingrich, one of Donald Trump's finalists, said on "Hannity" on Fox News.
After describing the bigger-than-life seeming personalities of Trump and himself as being like "pirates," Gingrich asked: "Do you really want a two-pirate ticket?"....

I hate to break it to Newt, but two fat blowhards aren't "pirates."

Sounded to me that he was comparing himself to Pence.  I took the comment as he wanted Trump to choose which pirate being that they were different pirates.  As pirates go you know.  Aye Matie!
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

No...but I'd settle for two Conservatives...

Yeah but that would require a conservative nominee to start with.

Yeah I know, was just trying to get my mind around the Twilight Zone reality of two fat white guys in their 70's pretending to be Pirates and running for President and VP on the GOP ticket...

Newtie is Mr Outsider.  :silly:

When Newt Gingrich first ran for office in 1974, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz were three years old. Ben Sasse was 2. Tom Cotton wasn’t born.

Ah! well a-day! what evil looks
Had I from old and young!
Instead of the cross, the Albatross
About my neck was hung.
“The way I see it, every time a man gets up in the morning he starts his life over. Sure, the bills are there to pay, and the job is there to do, but you don't have to stay in a pattern. You can always start over, saddle a fresh horse and take another trail.” ― Louis L'Amour

Well Newt it is ARGHHH  rather than ARGHHH and ARGHHH now.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
