Obama to visit Dallas, cut short Europe trip

President Barack Obama will cut short his trip to Europe to visit Dallas in the wake of a shooting in the city that left five police officers dead, the White House announced Friday.

He will return to Washington D.C. on Sunday night, one day earlier than planned, from a trip to Europe for his final NATO summit.

The White House statement read: “The President has accepted an invitation from Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings to travel to Dallas early next week. Later in the week, at the White House, the President will continue the work to bring people together to support our police officers and communities, and find common ground by discussing policy ideas for addressing the persistent racial disparities in our criminal justice system.”

How about helping us find "common ground" by explaining that our laws are and ought to be color-blind, that acceptable standards of human behavior must apply equally to all of us, and that all lives matter, in the eyes of a just and loving God?

Obama won't do any of this, because he believes none of it.

Well folks, we live in really crazy times. When I read the headline, 'Obama to visit Dallas', the first thought that flashed in my mind was, "Oh Sh*t!"

It is crazy when I have come to think of the President as more of a disruptor than a leader. But, that is where I am now.

I hope he will not gin up another Ferguson like he did the first time. I hope he will not start jumping on cars yelling, "Burn this bitch down!!" But with Obama, you never know which persona he is going to pull out of his magic bag on any given occasion. Will the Southern Black Preacher guy show up, or the Harvard Professor guy? Who knows. Maybe he'll do his stuttering guy (common folk) routine. We shall see.

The only thing we can all be sure of, is that Obama showing up to Dallas is only going to make things worse, not better. That is what he does. That is who he is. He is only there to make trouble.

Has Obama ever said or done anything, anything at all, nationally or internationally that resulted in making anything better for anyone? I can't think of anything.

The only speech that would make things 'better' would be if he apologized to America and the World for screwing everything up. And for directly or indirectly causing the death and displacement of millions of innocents all over the world. And then if he promptly resigned. Now that is an Obama speech that even I would actually bother to watch.

For once in his miserable term, he would finally be saying something worth listening to.

Seems to me that no Pubbie in his right mind would have done this.
Instead, the message to the feds should have been, "this is Texas, we'll take care of things ourselves here, thank you very much."

"First of all, I think it's very hard to untangle the motives of this shooter," said Obama. "I'll leave that to psychologists and people who study these kinds of incidents...I think the danger is that we somehow suggest the act of a troubled individuals speaks to some larger political statement across the country."

The motives of the shooter were in his words that he wanted to kill white cops. The motives of the Orlando shooter were in his words that he was doing it for ISIS.

When someone says "I'm going to McDonalds to get a supersized meal because I'm hungry" I accept that statement as being the reason for his trip.  Psychologists can determine deeper meanings into his need for food fulfillment etc. but I maintain the dude is hungry and that is the reason for his trip.

Likewise, I believe the dude is angry at white cops and that is his motive. If I could untangle the logic of a liberal brain, I would solve the Gordian Knot problem without the sword. But on the other hand the sword may be the only answer.

Rawlings is a Dimocrap all right. Why would he invite the cause of the ambush unless he were. I think much more of the Chief of Police than I do of him.
