NEW POLL: Trump Now Outperforming Romney & McCain Among Hispanic Voters

This is the kind of data that makes Team Clinton cringe, Establishment Republicans wince, and Trump supporters rejoice.

Donald Trump is currently on pace to outperform both Mitt Romney and John McCain among Hispanic voters.

Mr. Trump has often said how he, “loves the Hispanics.” It appears a growing number of them love him as well.

The latest Quinnipiac University poll shows Trump and Clinton in a virtual tie. That headline alone is enough to induce heartburn in the Clintonites as it shows Mr. Trump enjoying a bit of momentum following the Orlando terror attack that has once again placed national security front and center among voters’ minds.

Further troubling to Team Clinton, though, is this bit of data from within this same poll:

33% of Hispanic voters polled are backing Donald Trump

John McCain earned 31% of the Hispanic voter in 2008.

Mitt Romney did far worse with just 27%.

So as of now, Donald Trump, the GOP candidate the Mainstream Media, Democrat operatives, and many Establishment Republicans (most notably Mr. Romney) repeatedly demeaned for being “anti-Hispanic”,  is garnering MORE Hispanic voters than any Republican since George W. Bush twelve years ago.

In very simple terms, that’s called “growing the party” and Donald Trump should be praised, not reviled, for doing so. It should also be noted that this most recent Quinnipiac poll indicates an upward trend for Mr. Trump among Hispanics, a trend that if it holds, could result in the New York billionaire pushing his Hispanic support to over 35% by November.

If that happens, it’s landslide time…

DC whispers huh?  You're really scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find something nice about Trump today.

I only know one hispanic who is voting for Trump.  Ironically he is a rapist.  Big fan of Mike Tyson too.

My wife is Hispanic; of the dozen or so voters in her family, none are for Trump.

I was speaking with a Hispanic friend the other day, who's 27 years old and never voted in an election before.  He's voting this year - to defeat Trump.

Seriously, who cares how he matches up against Romney and McCain, he's not running against them.

The very poll you are posting shows how he matches up with the one person who does matter - Hillary

White voters back Trump 47 - to her 34 percent.
Black voters back Clinton 91 - to 1 percent for Trump
Hispanic voters back her 50 - to 33 percent for Trump.

And the first paragraph in the story says a lot about this election - quote- "Democrat Hillary Clinton has 42 percent to Republican Donald Trump's 40 percent - too close to call - as American voters say neither candidate would be a good president and that the campaign has increased hatred and prejudice in the nation".

Not all is Rosie when comparing Romney's numbers to Trump.

Mitt Romney won
61 percent of non-college whites compared
56 percent of white college grads.
Now, according polls released by ABC : Donald Trump is showing
65 percent support among non-college whites voters
BUT
Only 46 percent among white college graduates a 10 point drop from Romney’s numbers.

Completely irrelevant to the issue in this article. This is pre Convention polling. It destroys the Liberal Narrative that Trump cannot win & Hispanics that hes racist.

McCain and Romney both lost, and Trump is still losing according to the poll.  What's your point?

This is an interesting poll sample. It purports to show only 3% fewer Republicans than Democrats, and a majority of "Independents", which pretty much at odds with every other poll I've seen this year - not necessarily wrong, but definitely different:

Republican    28%
Democrat     31%
Independent 33%
Other/DK/NA 8%

Another thing that stands out to me is that the sample is composed of a majority - 52% - of non-college educated respondents. The question I'd have is which group they'd consider those with some college (29% in 2012, per Roper's analysis - http://ropercenter.cornell.edu) to be in. Otherwise, only 24% of the electorate in 2012 (Roper, ibid.) either had high school degrees or some high school. A larger cohort among the less educated would seem to help Trump.

Finally, the overall sample is composed of only 8% Hispanics, which would seem to reduce the import of the article's headline.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Yet this poll  its close to what Gallop said is the make up of America. Independents are way over both parties. So all your math was based on what? Oh right liberal propaganda.

If a GOP candidate can't beat a slimy, brain dead, blood sucking rat, it is time to find a human candidate.

The problem is that a significant number of GOP primary voters do not want a human candidate.  They want, in essence, Gozer the Gozerian to come in one of the pre-chosen forms.

Just like the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants, they want to choose a new form for him... this time that of a giant man-child.  They want to see many GOPe and Dems roast in the belly of the man-child this day.
