Trump: Clinton supported a border fence

By Ben Kamisar

“If you look back into history a long time ago, look at what Hillary wanted to build. It was a wall or a fence or something," Trump said.

"I don’t think she ever knew, because I'm not sure she really understands the difference too much. But she wanted something built."

Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, previously backed a 700-mile double-layer border fence as part of the Secure Fence Act of 2006. But she has backed away from that call during her 2016 candidacy and repeatedly blasts Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee, by arguing she wants to "build bridges, not walls."

She also panned his proposal for a border wall during a concurrent rally in Virginia, arguing the wall wouldn't keep out terrorist ideology from radicalizing people inside America.

Trump also said that the border fence Clinton voted for was never built because it failed an environmental impact study.

"There was probably a toad or a snail or a snake, a rattle snake, in the way," he said.

A.  The two things aren't remotely comparable;

B.  The failure proves that Trump's wall would also be an utter failure, and more to the point, that Trump knows it would be a failure, which means he's been intentionally lying to his supporters about his ability to build a wall all along.  Trump lies.

Of course, Hillary will say whatever she has to to get elected.
In 2006, she said one thing, and now, says another.
I don't believe she was for it,even in 2006, just pandering then.
She has no business near the Oval office.
A courthouse, yes, but not the Oval office.

It does blow out of the water the narrative that Trump has been the first and only one talking about a border wall.
But, then again, that has already been shown to be the fact that his was not the case.

I remember seeing those stories on TOS, and how people over there was willing to vote for her cause of support of a wall.
