Clinton releases plan for military family aid

By Rebecca Savransky

Hillary Clinton says she will require greater flexibility in service members' family leave time and better access to military childcare as part of her plans for military families.

The Democratic presidential front-runner released her "Military Families Agenda" on Monday, according to the Military Times.

In the policy paper, Clinton says helping military families "helps our nation attract and retain the most talented service members." She added that it is "vital to the strength of our military and the health of our nation."

Her plans include "enhanced gratuity payments" to the families of service members who are killed and more mental health resources for the military community.

We don't need more Child Development Centers or flexibility in leave time.

This is just a big ball of nothing she tossed out there hoping to hide the fact she loathes us.

Wanna keep the best and brightest in the military?  Quick f*cking with our retirement...our pay and lay off the damn politically correct social experimentation.  Give us the equipment and manpower necessary to do our job the money to pay for it all and leave us alone.

We're the damn military...we blow stuff up and occupy large tracts of land.  By necessity we are loathe to be whipped into PC.

Sadly you're so freaking tone deaf as to what the military REALLY needs you'll never do anything but make a bad situation worse.

This is what the Democrats have always done -- de-prioritize stuff that enables us to win, and just turn the military into another recipient of social welfare spending with more "programs".

And this whole "greater flexibility for parental leave" thing -- do we have any doubt as to what that's really about?  It is about giving women more flexibility, and more time away from their duties -- which will either have to be performed disproportionately by men, or not performed at all.  This is really the Achilles heel of letting women in the combat arms, where light/modified duty cannot exist.  Having a combat arms soldier out for a year due to a voluntary condition is simply unworkable.

And that is the very reason they decided to do it.  Can't get stuck in long protracted wars if you don't have the soldiers available to go fight it.

Eh, that wouldn't stop Hillary.  And then they'll declare it a success even though the women in those unit disproportionately did not deploy.  It'll be an airtight argument, too.  "See, the fact that women didn't deploy and we still accomplished the mission proves that having women in combat units can work!"

That kind of "logic" is unassailable.
